Located along a major corridor in downtown DC, 1515 9th St. NW is one of the few remaining infill development opportunities of scale in the historic Shaw neighborhood. After an extensive process, Monarch Urban was selected by Shiloh Baptist Church, one of the most prominent religious organizations in Washington, to redevelop the property. Currently improved with a 1950s-era commercial building and a surface parking lot, the project will include an entitlement process to maximize the allowable density and secure concept approval from the Historic Preservation Review Board. The planned development will include approximately 45 residential units and amenity space. Construction is expected to begin in early 2024.
